2025 NY Art Book Fair Opens Next Week

NY Art Book Fair
Printed Matter's 2025 NY Art Book Fair will take place at MoMA PS1 September 12–14 with an opening night celebration on September 11.
This year’s NY Art Book Fair returns to MoMA PS1 where it was held from 2009 to 2019 where it established itself as an important element in the celebration of artists’ books.
NYABF 2025 will feature a range of interdisciplinary artistic practices including self-publishing artists, collectives, small presses, institutions, rare and out-of-print book dealers, and art book distributors. Programs include:
- Exhibitor Projects: This section will include a series of book covers from the 1960s and 1970s by Bruno Munari curated by Corraini Edizioni, an exhibition of photographic works by the artist Jun Fujita presented by Hat & Beard Press, and an installation of ephemera and archival materials from The Detroit Printing Co-op
- The Classroom: A long-running program provides space for artists, writers, designers, and publishers to highlight new releases at NYABF
- The Stage: A lineup of music, poetry, and performance
- Courtyard Projects: Organizations and collectives who provide informational resources and services to arts, publishing, and activist communities throughout New York City, including the New York Public Library’s Picture Collection, Art Against Displacement, and Librarians and Archivists with Palestine
- Reading Room: This highlights fair exhibitors engaged in activism and grassroots struggles related to a particular theme which this year explores the relationship between publishing and queer and trans liberation, third world solidarity, and revolutionary action.
